With both fleets running into several "dilithium walls" as we make upgrades, I'm proposing a new fleet event with the aim of earning MASSIVE amounts of dilithium in one clean shot.
I think most of you know I've made 6 new alts that are each being skilled up to act as fleet trainers for all fleet Boffs. These alts will also serve as cannon fodder for this event, and as Doff mills for the fleet.
Here's how this'll go down... We'll schedule the event (probably sometime in August - I've got to get all six alts up to level 50 before we can get started), and everyone will participate in a long series of PvP ground matches. There will be one "killer", and everyone else will be on the opposite team, standing together, with shields down. Manchu, Ganon, and Vitruvius are already skilled up as excellent killers - it helps to have chroniton mines, transphasic bombs, plasma grenades, orbital strike, or any other ability that yields a large amount of ranged damage.
My main three alts can therefore take the role of "killer" for three of the rounds - optimally, we'd need another 6 killers. These would be your main characters, most likely. Everyone else participating will basically just join the other team and respawn over and over until the matches are over.
This event works best if we can get at least 4 players working together throughout - 6 would be more ideal, but any less than 4 will just take too long to be really worth it.
With my total of 9 alts, I'd be able to earn 72,000 dilithium for the fleet during this event. With another five fleet members working with me, we could clear 400,000 - in one day.
I figure if this event works out, I'll schedule another Surge for the Power side a couple of weeks later, and repeat for the Courage side another two weeks after that, until we're clear of this dilithium hurdle.
I'm thinking about asking the Phoenix Rising allies to join us for this. They've got the same dilithium wall issues to work out, and having more players in the event will only make the event go faster for everyone (each round requires 15 kills, so if we can get one killer vs 8 players, everyone need only respawn once).
