- Service Record -
Captain Anderson has had a distinguished service record. Anderson enlisted in Starfleet as a non-commissioned security officer at the age of 18 and was posted on the USS Constantinople. During his time on the Constantinople Crewman Anderson participated in numerous away missions, helped catch a stowaway, and was instrumental during an investigation into a murder aboard ship.
Two years later Anderson was returning to his ship from R&R on Risa when he saw the Constantinople under fire from a Jem'Hadar attack ship. The Constantinople had been caught by surprise and was unable to return fire. Crewman Anderson modified the weapons aboard the shuttle and was able to get a single phaser through the shields of the attack ship, disabling their shields. The next shots disabled the Jem'Hadar's weapons and but not before a volley badly damaged Anderson's shuttle. The ship's computer core suffered catastrophic data loss and Anderson was injured in the process and was unable to remember the incident.
A few months later Anderson's C.O. recommended him for Officer's Candidate School (OCS) where he excelled and quickly became an ensign. His first assignment was as a junior tactical officer on the USS Pathfinder. During a routine patrol the Pathfinder was attacked and boarded by a Klingon attack force. The captain was killed along with most of the bridge crew with the exception of the First Officer who was incapacitated. Anderson took command of his ship and led his crew to repel the invaders and destroyed the Klingon ship. For his actions he was granted permanent command of the Pathfinder and served aboard that ship until its destruction over a year later.
Anderson's next command was the Sovereign-class USS Andromeda and he served along the Romulan border for nearly three years before the Andromeda was ordered to be decommissioned. He was then given command of the Prometheus-class USS Paladin and was also given command of Battle Group 137 (BG137) along the Klingon Border.
With the Cease Fire with the Klingon Empire BG137 was redeployed to the Delta Quadrant.
- Excerpt from Captain Anderson's Personality Profile -
...Captain Anderson is incredibly loyal to his crew and the captains and crew of BG137. He has gone against orders and launched rescue operations for crew members or ships captured by the enemy, risking more lives in the process. Starfleet Command calls him reckless but despite this he manages to get results despite his taking unnecessary risks.
He often frequents social establishments and seems to enjoy meeting new people.
Potential problems Captain Anderson may have are his strong emotions towards Romulans and, in particular, Klingons. He has lost a lot of friends and crew members fighting the Tal Shiar and the Klingon Defense Force and he has used excessive force in combat situations with Klingon forces.
